Montgomery County Defensive Driving
If you've recently received a ticket in Montgomery County, whether in Conroe, Houston, or another city, you may be able to have it dismissed by taking a defensive driving course (which the Montgomery County Court refers to as a driving safety course). Here's what you need to know and how to start the process:
Start by making sure you are eligible to have the ticket dismissed. It is up to the Montgomery County Court to determine whether you can take a defensive driving course to dismiss the ticket. You must contact the Court to ask if your ticket is eligible for dismissal.
Factors that may make you ineligible for ticket dismissal via a defensive driving course in Montgomery County include:
- You hold a Texas Commercial Driver's License
- You have taken a driving safely course for ticket dismissal within the past twelve (12) months, or are currently taking such a course
- You were charged with speeding 25 or more mph over the posted speed limit
- You refuse to plead "no contest." You cannot plead "not guilty" and still take the course
If the court approves you to take a course, you are eligible to take our 100% online, easy and simple Texas Defensive Driving course.
